The purpose of this documentary is to help young girls from getting involved in cults. That is why we created a new DVD called Seven Deadly Sins: Inside the Ecomm Cult. We made it graphic, no-holds-barred, in order to "shock" the
viewer into NEVER JOINING a cult.
It is the extraordinary story of one girl's journey into the abyss. I recommend that every family - especially ones with daughters- see the DVD in order to stay safe.
"Amy" was a pretty girl, only 21 years old, but what happened to her was anything but pretty. One such case that I was on, back in the '90s, was the Ecomm Cult case. It was operated by Mr. Bob Ecomm, although to his followers he was known simply as Dr. Smoke. It was well publicized but never solved.
Ecomm was a polygamist, a guru poet, an author, a musician and a con man. He made it EASY for young girls to fall into his trap and many did.
CULTS ARE REAL. I can't stress it enough. Most people feel they are immune and that just makes them more susceptible. Amy got an assignment from her editor at a magazine. She was supposed to observe the Ecomm Cult by pretending to join up, then write an article about her experience. Amy went in alone, without the help of law enforcement.
Amy got caught up in the hullaballoo. She bought into the philosophies of the cult. She's probably DEAD right now and because of it. This could be your daughter. This story could be your story. You could be the one dead right now.
The Seven Deadly Sins are: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. These have been well known through the ages. The Cult Leader uses the Seven Deadly Sins as tools when breaking down the mind of innocent young people. Each sin, more demoralizing than the last, makes an ordinary person into a mindless follower. Like a 12-step program, only there are seven, and in this case, they don't help anybody. The Cult Leader then throws in a twist, an eighth sin if you will - hedonism and the hedonistic lifestyle. The love of pleasure!
Bob Ecomm was never found and still preying on young girls. Your tips are needed. Contact your local law enforcement.
