On Friday, February 5, the sultry sounds of legendary singer Ella Garrett, accompanied by the artistry of keyboardist Jessica Stewart, along with the comedy shenanigans of Kenny Williams, and a tap dancing performance by Alexia Anastasio and Courtney Klotz can be found at Broadway Comedy Club, 318 West 53rd Street (between 8th and 9th Avenue), New York City. The one hour show begins at 6:00 pm as part of the early bird entertainment special. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door (two drink minimum/beverages). In time for Valentine's Day, Alexia will curate a show of her Heart Art at Pie, 124 4th Avenue (between 12th and 13th Street) in New York City. Artwork by Merry Wrath, Mira Gutoff, Kevin Sean Michaels, and Faranguis Miremad will also be presented. Live music by Courtney Chase and Laura Joy. The show opens on Wednesday, February 10, with a party 6-9pm.

APRIL FOOLS TREAT with Bill Plympton at the Cinema Arts Centre! Alexia got to work for HBO again, this time as an extra for their upcoming drama Boardwalk Empire, created by Terrance Winter (The Sopranos), produced by Martin Scorsese, and starring Steve Buscemi. Boardwalk Empire chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson, part politician and part gangster, during 1920s Atlantic City. The series will begin airing Fall 2010.
