If you haven't already met Alexia through her work at the Cinema Arts Centre, take a moment now to say hello.

Alexia was bit by the acting bug when she was 11 years old after her parents put her into acting classes. The Northport native had fun and realized that maybe this could be a way to earn a living.

"I got into theater an then video, film, modeling and now I do film editing," she said as she took a break from her hectic schedule.

Alexia has always had a fondness for horror and comic book conventions, and when she found an opportunity to work on a feature documentary about the horror film TV hostess Vampira she became hooked on editing.

"I edited the film at the Cinema Arts Centre and then went on tou with it," she said, "bringing film and pictures around and cultivating fans."

In her downtime, you can find Alexia behind her editing apparatus.

"This is what I do for fun," she said. "Sometimes I do events, like the Cinema Art Music and Politics (CAMP) Festival. I find mentors at conventions and festivals. I brought back Zoe Bell from 'Grindhouse,' she's the star of 'Deathproof.' We talked [at the festival], about her experience in the industry.

"But basically I practically live at the CAC; that's where you can find me."
